Google · AdWords Co-Marketing · Writing Sample
Small businesses don’t think in CPCs and impression rates — they think in “will this work for me?” I led content development and partner messaging for Google’s Co-Marketing program, which helped small businesses access Google Ads through strategic partnerships with companies like GoDaddy and Netfirms.
The work
Landing page copy, benefit descriptions, step-by-step redemption instructions, and CTAs for the pages a first-time advertiser lands on after clicking a promotional offer. The copy had to do two things simultaneously: make the $100 credit feel real and easy to claim, and make Google Ads feel approachable to someone who’d never run a digital campaign.
“Get your business to show up on Google” is a clearer promise than anything involving keywords or bidding. I structured content around ease of use — breaking down complex advertising concepts into simple, step-by-step instructions. I also wrote messaging that addressed common user concerns: how to claim promotional credits and where to access free setup support.
Four steps. One CTA. No jargon. The brief — and the execution.
