American Express
Two AMEX engagements with a common thread — making complex financial products feel navigable and trustworthy to a business audience.
Partner Portal — content strategy & UX copy
Content strategy and UX copy for the American Express Partner Portal — designed to support real-world partner workflows and drive engagement outcomes across a complex enterprise financial product. Navigation, section labels, instructional copy, and messaging for a portal used by AMEX business partners globally.
The challenge was writing for a sophisticated B2B audience who knew exactly what they needed — and wouldn’t tolerate copy that wasted their time. Every label and instruction had to be precise and purposeful.
Payve — B2B digital payments website
Payve was AMEX’s digital central payments solution to help businesses optimize their capital — offering cash flow visibility, automated payments, streamlined supplier onboarding, and spend analytics. The product was genuinely powerful, but the value proposition was buried in financial jargon.
I developed the content strategy and wrote the full copy deck — translating the platform’s capabilities into clear, value-driven messaging that a CFO could act on and a finance team could understand. This included structuring the site so that businesses could quickly grasp the advantages of replacing check payments with automated solutions, without needing a product walkthrough to get there.
